Salesforce

Salesforce supported the Tigers in many ways.  Last year they put together and produced the club handbook, organised excellent coaching training for our coach, wrote an introductory coaches manual and then came down to the clubhouse to help us redocorate!

On Wednesday, 14th January, Montgomory Hoeft, Isabel Kelly, Laura Barlow, Philip Kenley, Sean McCann and Gill Payne from Salesforce and volunteers from the Southwark Tigers, rugby club got together and spent the day, helping to tidy up and paint the Clubs, Clubhouse. Their Clubhouse was in desperate, need of a coat of paint to help brighten it up and make it more inviting for the Club members.

Most of the volunteers picked up, their paintbrushes and rollers, and started straight away, to improve the main clubhouse area, painting the walls and notice areas whilst others made improvements to the kitchen area; painting and cleaning it, and some cleaned out the Clubs store area.

One daring volunteer, from Salesforce spent the day outside in the cold, painting a bench in the Tiger colours, to make the outside of the building more appealing too.

Southwark Tigers Rugby Club was the first inner city junior rugby club in England. They are a charity that charges very little money to play. Their hope is to make rugby affordable and attractive to anybody and to encourage young people to play the sport rather then hanging around on the streets. They believe that the skills learnt in the game of rugby can be of great benefit to young people.
