Safeguarding Children Policy Working To Keep Our Club Safe

Mission Statement:

Southwark Tigers Rugby Club strives to provide a safe environment for children and young people to develop rugby skills and fully enjoy participating as a club member to their potential.

The aim of this policy is to provide a clear framework from which to appropriately address arising concerns of a child protection nature.

Our full document sets out the guidelines under which action will be taken in the event of:

1. Significant concerns regarding the welfare of a player.

2. Concerns regarding inappropriate conduct by a club coach, officiate or other adult.

3. An allegation of harm or abuse in respect of a child and/or adult involved with the Southwark Tigers Rugby Club.

4. An allegation made by a player involving another child or adult outside of the Southwark Tigers Rugby Club.

Southwark Tigers are committed to working together to keep our club safe. This policy is an active working document which is available to all players, parents/carers and club members on request.
